Welcome to the East Glamorgan Chess Association Website
The East Glamorgan Chess Association (EGCA) is the governing body for chess in the following named Counties of South Wales; Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Vale of Glamorgan [map]. The association is also affiliated to the Welsh Chess Union.
The EGCA organises chess competitions within this zone including The East Glamorgan Chess League, plus also actively plays a part in all WCU inter county events. Grading services are provided for members and players of all EGCA clubs.
Match Cards - Match Cards will no longer be printed. Most results are submitted by using the online facility. Those wishing to still fill a match card and keep records of the match details, a pre-designed sheet is available to download and print. [PDF]
